The Role: What You'll Own
As our Automation Expert, you'll be the architect of our entire automation infrastructure. You'll take Extreme Ownership of:
Core Responsibilities
- Sales Ops & Rev Ops Excellence: Design and implement HubSpot workflows that turn our sales process into a well-oiled machine
- Email Marketing Mastery: Create sophisticated email automation sequences that dazzle founders at every touchpoint
- Custom Code Actions: Write JavaScript and Python scripts within HubSpot to solve complex automation challenges
- AI Integration: Leverage AI tools to enhance our automation capabilities and create next-level efficiency
- Systems Architecture: Build workflows so clean and simple that complexity becomes the enemy of our competition
- Documentation Excellence: Embody our Writing-First Culture — if it's not documented, it doesn't exist
- Continuous Optimization: Relentlessly improve our automation infrastructure with data-driven decisions
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
- Complete audit of all existing workflows and create optimization roadmap
- Implement at least 5 game-changing automations that save 20+ hours weekly
- Establish automation performance metrics and reporting dashboard
- Document all workflows with our signature clarity and simplicity
- Train team members on new automation capabilities
Non-Negotiable Requirements
Technical Expertise
- HubSpot Certified (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, and Service Hub certifications required)
- JavaScript Proficiency: Proven ability to write custom code actions in HubSpot workflows
- Python Capability: Basic to intermediate Python skills for data manipulation and API integrations
- Email Marketing Mastery: Deep understanding of deliverability, segmentation, and campaign optimization
- n8n Experience - full working knowledge of n8n with proof of prior complex automations being built on this platform, will provide json files to show proficiency
Experience & Proof
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms
- Portfolio of complex automation workflows you've built (be ready to show your work)
- Demonstrated results: Show us the revenue you've driven, the hours you've saved, the chaos you've tamed
- Experience with API integrations and webhook implementations

- Experience with n8n, Zapier, Make.com, or other iPaaS platforms
- Knowledge of SQL and database management
- Familiarity with CRM migrations and data architecture
- Experience in high-growth SaaS or education companies
- Active in automation communities and up-to-date with latest trends
