As our People & Talent Lead, you will own the hiring engine: sourcing, headhunting, screening, culture filtering, and delivering only the highest-caliber talent to Matt and Claire. You’ll maintain a proactive pipeline across all critical roles while also supporting key operational initiatives across the company.

The Role

This is not traditional HR.

It’s high-velocity talent scouting, systematic hiring, and operational execution inside a fast-growing founder-led company.

You will:

Own Hiring End-to-End
  • Run the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, outreach, ads, inbound screening, scorecards, interviews, reference checks.
  • Build & maintain a proactive hiring pipeline for high-impact roles across content, sales, growth, operations, and success.
  • Headhunt top talent using creative sourcing methods - LinkedIn, niche communities, referrals, project trials, and outbound.
  • Run world-class intro calls that filter for skill, ownership, culture, and pace.
  • Translate vague needs into clear briefs by partnering directly with Matt & Claire.
  • Build repeatable hiring systems and documentation (templates, scorecards, interview guides).

Be a Culture Gatekeeper
  • Ensure every candidate is aligned with Founder OS values: extreme ownership, simplicity, quality, velocity, solutions-not-problems.
  • Assess culture fit with precision - protect the bar and raise it.
  • Maintain the “A-player only” environment by ensuring only the strongest candidates reach final rounds.
Operational Support
  • Support ad hoc operational projects across departments (content, success, events, systems).
  • Assist in maintaining hiring dashboards, tracking candidate progress, and reporting weekly updates during Level 10 meetings.
  • Step into operational gaps with speed and reliability - solving problems before they escalate.
  • Help build & optimize SOPs across hiring, onboarding, and cross-functional workflows.
Leadership Enablement
  • Protect Matt’s and Claire’s time by reducing hiring noise and presenting only vetted, qualified candidates.
  • Manage communication lines with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
  • Maintain tight follow-up systems - no dropped balls, no ambiguity.
    • (A core expectation across all Founder OS roles.)

  • A-player pipeline always active with recruiting running proactively, not reactively.
  • Roles filled fast - high-quality hires, minimal misfires.
  • Accurate briefs turned into repeatable, systemized hiring processes.
  • Extreme clarity for leadership - weekly updates, dashboards, and clean tracking.
  • Candidates reflect Founder OS culture before they ever meet Matt.
  • No balls dropped - every action has an owner, an outcome, and a follow-through.
  • Operational tasks executed with precision, improving team velocity and freeing leadership time.
  • Documented, scalable hiring systems built and maintained by you.

Requirements

Founder OS is not for everyone - we operate fast, think clearly, and hold a very high bar.

You have:

  • 2–5+ years in recruiting, talent acquisition, or operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to source and vet top talent (creatives, operators, technical roles, sales).
  • Strong understanding of startup culture and what A-players look like.
  • Exceptional communication — confident, clear, and concise on calls and in writing.
  • High operational rigor: systems thinking, follow-through, tracking, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple pipelines and priorities in a remote environment.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong culture-filtering instincts.
  • A solutions-first mindset - always bringing answers, not problems.

  • Comfort working closely with leadership in a founder-led environment.

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in online education, media, or creator-focused companies.
  • Experience building SOPs, scorecards, and hiring systems.
