Video Editor - Second Channel (Owner)

Mission: Build, grow, and own Matt Gray’s Second Channel — a flagship media asset that compounds attention, trust, and applications.

The Opportunity

Founder OS is building a media-first operating system for the world’s most ambitious founders.

Our second YouTube channel is the next major pillar of this ecosystem.

We’re looking for a world-class video editor + channel operator who thinks like a filmmaker, editor, and growth strategist in one.

Someone who can take raw footage from events, masterminds, retreats, instructor sessions, and Matt’s 15-year archive — and turn it into cinematic, high-retention, taste-driven storytelling.

This is not a “cut clips” role.

This is full ownership of the second channel.

You will build and run the engine that compounds Founder OS attention while Matt focuses on the main channel, book, and product.

Responsibilities

Channel Ownership

• Own the full output, publishing calendar, quality, and growth of the Founder OS Second Channel
  
• Weekly uploads (7 videos), each ~4–60 minutes
  
• Build the content pipeline: sourcing clips → editing → QC → upload → thumbnails → metadata → optimization
  
• Work with Chief of Staff to protect Matt’s time and remove friction from the system
  

Editing & Story Development

• Edit long-form content using:
  
  • Mastermind recordings
    
  • Retreat footage
    
  • Event talks
    
  • Instructor office hours
    
  • Matt’s personal archive
    
  • A-roll from Bali, Europe, travels, etc.
    
• Turn raw moments into stories with:
  
  • Cold opens
    
  • Founder insights
    
  • Voiceover layering
    
  • Visual metaphors
    
  • Tasteful B-roll & motion graphics
    
  • Zero fluff
    

Channel Strategy

• Develop video formats (case studies, breakdowns, founder lessons, behind-the-scenes)
  
• Run title + thumbnail strategy
  
• Own retention curves, CTR, watch time, and publishing cadence
  
• Convert channel viewers into newsletter subscribers and Founder OS applicants
  
• Build systems for scalability: naming conventions, SOPs, B-roll bank, sound library
  

KPIs

• 7 videos/week published at Matt Gray-level quality
  
• 30%+ increase in channel subs month-over-month
  
• 55%+ retention after 30 seconds
  
• Professionalized / systemized content library
  
• Content pipeline running without Matt’s involvement
